Crafter’s TV launches search for next crafting superstar

Crafter’s TV is launching the search for the platform’s next crafting talent with its new campaign, The Craft Factor.

The Craft Factor aims to find the next expert to join personalities such as Sara Davies, Leann Chivers, Craig Laird and the rest of the team on Crafter’s TV. The campaign will officially launch with its first audition from the department’s coordinating assistant, Brent Watson, on Friday 6 August, during the digital channel’s Wake Up Call show.

To be in with a chance of becoming a craft expert, applicants can submit a short video clip of themselves at home, along with four or five of their own projects to demonstrate their creative skills. Successful applicants will be invited to Crafter’s TV’s state-of-the-art studio for a formal audition.

Global craft supplier, Crafter’s Companion, launched Crafter’s TV in September 2019. The digital platform hosts multiple live shows seven days a week, with the aim of educating, inspiring and exciting the crafting community. The schedule includes a variety of features, including exclusive product launches, craft-along sessions, magazine shows and more.

Jeni Santillo, head of broadcast operations, said: “I am so excited for The Craft Factor to launch. It’s no secret that our crafting community is full of spectacularly talented people, and this is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how true that is.

“If anyone has watched one of our shows on Crafter’s TV and thought, I could do that – then here is your chance! All you have to do is submit a video of yourself and some of your favourite makes, and you could soon be in our studio, co-presenting one of our live shows. Good luck everyone!”
