What changes we have made during the Coronavirus? The main changes we have made is listening to our customers with the goal of providing resources they need to help their business survive and thrive during the COVID-19 crisis. We have surveyed our customers and with that insight created a number of business resources that can be found on our COVID-19 Business Resources page, including timely articles on the latest on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan, coping with uncertainty, unique ways to sell even if your business is just opening back up, expert insights on shipping, important links, and more.
We’ve also partnered with our other retail brands at Emerald – NY NOW, Outdoor Retailer and Surf Expo – to launch the Stand Up 4 Retail Digital Conference, a series of 10 complimentary webinars from retail experts designed to help online and brick-and-mortar stores overcome the challenges of COVID-19 and its effects. These on-demand webinars can be viewed at any time and range from how to keep your customers engaged and virtual strategies to best delivery practices and available growth capital. We have also compiled a comprehensive manual on regulations and best practices for stores who are just being permissioned to open back up, called Restarting Retail: The Unofficial Guide to Reopening Your Store. This is a one-of-its-kind piece for stores in any state to understand what they can and can’t do as they are opening their stores, including safety precautions, free support resources, the ultimate checklist, and marketing templates to calm your customers.
Additionally, aligning with ASD’s core business in connecting buyers and vendors with available inventory, we have launched the Ready to Ship program, a collection of our vendors who have products that are up and ready to go for buyers right now. We’ve also modified our Vendor Directory to include an RTS symbol and filtering to make it easier to search for vendors who have products in all categories ready to be shipped. We’ve listened to our customers express their challenges in finding inventory, and in this way, they do not need to wait for the next ASD Market Week to connect with a vendor that meets their immediate needs.
